What is the Big Deal with Labyrinths?
Find the answer: Invite award-winning Autor Dorit Brauer to your book club or book event.
Dorit creates personalized labyrinth experiences and shares her expertise in spiritually adventurous and authentic living, as she did for the Bethel Park Women’s Club.
Labyrinths are sacred circles found in every culture around the globe, dating back thousands of years. The labyrinth is a spiritual transformation power tool that answers our call to wholeness.
It allows you to reach states of clarity, during troubled times and turmoil. Its single winding path invites you to relax, give up control, flow and trust. Walking a labyrinth together as a group builds connection, mutual respect and compassion.
The ladies of the Bethel Park Women’s Club were introduced to the labyrinth for the first time and enjoyed the reading from Dorit’s award-winning autobiography Girls Don’t Ride Motorbikes – A Spiritual Adventure Into Life’s Labyrinth, which chronicles her modern day pilgrimage in which she embarks onto a 7,430-mile solo motorcycle adventure across the US to walk labyrinths. On her journey, Dorit recounts poetic life stories spanning her youth on a dairy farm in Germany, a 10-week solo-backpacking trip in Brazil, the turmoil living in Tel Aviv, to her most recent chronicles in the United States. As Dorit travels cross-country from one labyrinth to labyrinth, these stories are woven together intricately to provide insights allowing the reader to reflect on their own spiritual journey.
The ladies enjoyed the guided meditation and a finger labyrinth walk. Afterwards they shared their experiences. It was beautiful to witness how novices immediately entered a deeply meditative labyrinth experience and learned to see life in a new and positive way.
Serenity & Inner Peace are easy to achieve while tracing the labyrinth pathways and listening to Dorit’s guided meditation.
