Mindful Painting at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art

Mindful Painting allows you to see the world with new eyes, paint from your heart and unleash your creativity.

I had the great pleasure to teach a Valentine’s Day Mindful Painting Class to an intimate, inspired group of students at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art.

The focus of the workshop was the creation of  connection, unity and open-heartedness, to a loved one and to the world, while creating colorful, inspired collaborative art.

The participants experienced a transformative Color Meditation, accompanied by the relaxing sound of quartz crystal singing bowls.

The relaxing sound of quartz crystal singing bowls induces the Alpha wave level activity of the brain, balances the hemispheres of the brain and promotes creativity and healing.

Collaborative Meditative Art

The creative process included collaborative painting as a group, movement, dancing and an inspired conversation about the artworks, in order to really deepen the art of seeing.

Once we learn to see art from a higher level, it shifts how we see the world to new perspectives.
